Our Courses
At Kudos College, we offer comprehensive communication and writing programs designed to build confidence and critical thinking skills. Our curriculum covers 20+ speech and debate events, from public forum debate to impromptu speaking, ensuring students develop versatility across multiple communication formats.
Each course incorporates in-class competition and peer evaluation, fostering both skill development and self-evaluation in a supportive environment. Students learn to articulate their ideas clearly, think on their feet, and engage in respectful discourse with their peers.
Beyond speech and debate, we also offer specialized writing courses that focus on creative expression, technical writing, and storytelling. Our holistic approach ensures students develop both oral and written communication skills essential for academic and professional success.
What if a class is at full capacity?
Our courses are in high demand and often fill up quickly. If you find that a specific time slot for your desired course is full, we invite you to join our waitlist.
To be added to the waitlist, please call the specific office for the course location (San Marino or Walnut) during business hours. Our staff will inform you of your child's position on the list.
Please note: Being on the waitlist does not guarantee a spot will become available. If a spot does open up for your child, our office will contact you directly to finalize the registration.

Storytelling
Students create and use hand-drawn puppets to perform classic fables and fairy tales—developing expressive speech, body language, and moral character.
Through fun rhymes and rhythmic games, students enhance vocabulary, pronunciation, and musical movement coordination.
Students choose a fun topic, draw out ideas, and learn to present clearly using a simple "how-to" format—training clarity, structure, and confidence.

Survey Level II : No Prep Events
Impromptu Speech: Trains students in speaking skills on specific terms, abstract ideas, or quotes to expand their knowledge and enhance self-confidence.
SPAR (Spontaneous Argumentation): Trains students in offensive/defensive skills and improvisation, with a requirement of learning a minimum of 30 vocabulary words and applications per topic.
Program Features: Each lesson is competition-based with teacher and student feedback.
Students become seed members of the Kudos Middle School Debate Team.
The course includes a free entry to one inter-school tournament (valued at $750) per school year, with at least one other opportunity to compete.
